Mr. David Cohen joined the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office as an Assistant District Attorney to gain complex trial experience. Ms. Samantha Tooma is a recent graduate from Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University. Her primary focus in law school was Family Law, with relevant coursework such as Child Abuse and Neglect, Matrimonial Trial Skills, Modern Divorce Advocacy, as well as participating in the National Institute for Trial Advocacy.
Ms. Tooma began as an intern at the Law Offices of Jeffery D. Cohen in 2015.
In 2016, she went on to become a judicial intern in Nassau County Supreme Court. Later that year, Ms. Tooma served as a mediator for the Persons in Need of Supervision (PINS) diversion program, in which she handled high conflict negotiation between parents and their children regarding child support, custody, and visitation cases that were before the Nassau County Family Court.
